Continuing Expansion of the SWI

Director Wan took me through new areas of the SWI, still under construction.  In the future, it will be a therapy facility for the entire area of Bengbu and Anhui province, where the general public can come to receive treatment and therapy for various disabilities.

Images of old Bengbu

While at the restaurant, I took some photos of photos on the wall.  Images of old downtown Bengbu.  The images are from over 50 years ago.

A restaurant visit

I went out to a restaurant (one of my most favorite things to do in China).  While I do know some people who do not like Chinese food, I absolutely love it, and am always amazed by the variety in textures and tastes.  I can't wait to go again!

More Children from Bengbu

Here are some more photos and images of the beautiful children of Bengbu SWI.  Please help and donate to Packages of Hope in order to provide needed therapy equipment, other items (we are trying to raise money for a minivan for the orphanage!), and for Chinese New Year clothes and treats for the children!

Special Needs Room - Bengbu SWI - more video!

This is a place that we need to be more focused on!  The orphanage could use our help to purchase more SN equipment for the orphanage.   Here are some beautiful children playing at the orphanage.  At the end of the clip, you can see how the orphanage staff care for the children, and keep records of their care.

Here are some of the items needed currently for the SN children.  Please donate to Packages of Hope (www.packagesofhope.org) to help the children and Bengbu SWI.

Children at the orphanage

Some of the children were proudly putting on a performance to honor the visit of an adoptive family that had come to the orphanage on their Gotcha Trip.  At the end of this clip, you can see a nanny playing for a classroom of Special Needs children.

Meng Lu

One of the friends I have made over the years at the orphanage is Meng Lu.  He is a very talented artist, and has taught himself English.  He now works  at an office where he is doing some clerical work.  I have many of his sketches proudly displayed in my home.
